Grand Union Orchestra, 2013-2015 - UK
Responsible for the management of the Grand Union Orchestra and Grand Union Youth Orchestra. This involved budgeting, devising, planning, marketing and implementing of GUO year-round workshops, summer school, performances and learning and participation programmes, including the European Union-funded programme Work in Progress with partners in France and Portugal, as well as projects and performances in collaboration with Rich Mix, Newham Roma Centre, Nurhak Turkish Centre, Numbi Arts, Hackney Empire, Wiltons Music Hall, MAC Birmingham, Essex Music Hub and Cambridgeshire Music Hub. A key part of the role involved developing strong collaborative relationships with those from refugee and migrant communities and developing the organisation's Youth Leadership programme for second generation migrant musicians.
In 2015 I lead on the management and delivery of one of the organisations biggest shows to date, Undream'd shores. Across two nights Undream’d shores brought together 100 singers and musicians from across the globe, launched the ensembles first ever community world Choir brought together from the local community of East London.
