What Kind of Slave Would I Be? (WKOSWOB?), 2017 - UK
Collaborated with dance artist Zinzi Minott to produce her piece “What kind of Slave would I be? WKOSWIB?” (pronounced nWIK-uooh-IB) investigating dance, race, the archive and her own slave narrative through residencies at Rich Mix and Dance Research Space, and partnerships with Live Art Development agency and Unbound publishers. The piece premiered 22nd April 2017 to a sold out venue at Rich Mix, London accompanied by workshops and round table discussion. A key part of my role was to work collaboratively with Zinzi, partners and the projects associated artists to ensure the artistic vision could be brought to life at a high standard, and communicated clearly to a diverse audience.
